Main info
In the east, surrounded by mountains, is the Ruby Kingdom. Most of the land is at a low elevation below sea level, which contributes to the Ruby Kingdom's year round heat. The conditions here are very harsh, but a small subset of plants can only grow here. Despite the extreme heat, the Kingdom still contains an impressively diverse landscape, featuring deserts, volcanos, and even fields.
Habitants
The Ruby Kingdom contains the lowest type diversity of any kingdom, and is the least populated in general. Most non fire pokemon find it to be too hot. Much of the kingdom is also often under a thick ash fog, which only fire types find appealing. Even some fire type pokemon can't stand it and choose to live in other kingdoms, contributing to its low population.

Culinary Info
Fire Stones
Pokemon of the ruby kingdom like to use crunched up fire stones to season their foods, as a type of salt. This salt has a spicy and smoky flavor that is completly unique, and is warm to the touch, making fire stones in high demand, especially among the Fire types here that enjoy the flavor. These pieces of salt can be found sprinkled in the Ashen Sands, though it is typcially more efficient to harvest full fire stones from the ravines below, and grind them into powder. Powdered figy/occa berry is often added as well, as well as tiny bits of everstone to prevent accidental evolutions.
The food of the Ruby Kingdom has a very unique spicy taste due to this, and is an acquired taste that is very popular with the fire types that live here. While most pokemon outside of the Ruby Kingdom dislike the flavor, there are some pokemon out there-- even non fire types-- that adore the taste, making it still a valuable resource to export.
A special type of grain is found in the Ember fields, that is used to make spicy food.
