Ashen Sands

Basic info

A desert made of black sand, that seems to contain mostly ash. Bits of fire stone are sparkled in as well, which look like shiny speckles of red and orange, that also make the sand hot to the touch. This is amplified by the fact the black sand also absorbs the heat from the sun. Protrusions of black rocks can also be found sprinkled around the desert, which the fire types that live here love to play on.

The atmosphere causes the sky to take on a darker orangish/greyish look. Lava lakes can be found in some places of the desert as well. Near the lava lakes, trees and other plants will sprout up from the ashes. The wood from the trees seems to also be mostly ash, and has a unique gray color. They absorb warmth but seem to be more resistant to fire than normal wood. The leaves are red and orange, and look a bit like fire. Their composition seems to be similar to that of fire stones.

Berries

Spicy berries such as cheri, figy, and spelon grow here, and have a stronger, more robust flavor than when grown anywhere else. The rare Musoot berry also grows here.
